Postponed: Ballroom Dance
Humpday Dance Wednesdays - 1:00 to 3:30 pm
Everyone is welcome to attend the free ballroom dances at Hometown Heroes Park, 1001 East League City Parkway, League City, every Wednesday from 1:00 to 3:30 pm. Neva Schroder plays recorded music with many rhythms to accommodate all levels of ability from beginner to advanced dancers. The rare floating hardwood floor and Bose sound system help keep dancers on their feet enjoying the beat. This casual dance, also known as The Humpday Dance, is not lessons. Lesson are taught by Lewis and Betty Whistler (832-517-5833 ) on Tuesdays from 12:30 to 1:30 pm at this location. Dress comfortably and dance to have fun, get physical activity and make friends! This ballroom dance is a FREE City activity organized by volunteers, Bill & Neva Schroder. The name tags are provided by the volunteers to help newcomers get acquainted. To keep dancers energized, candy and ice water are provided. Everyone can count on this activity as the volunteers have never canceled since starting six years ago. For more information, email [email protected] or go to Ballroom Dancers of League City Facebook page for posted information, photos, videos, or private messaging.
