Caring Community Partners: Belle Lees Boutique distributes care packages to healthcare workers
Apr 13, 2020 09:11PM ● By Betsey EnnisWe want to give a shout out to locally owned Belle Lees Boutique - Kemah, TX and their customers for showing appreciation to our medical community.
Last week they dropped off 160 care packages to Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital - Houston, TX.
"Our initial goal was to cover one of the units in the hospital," said Belle Lees Boutique owner Jennifer Pruett. "But we had triple the amount of donations we expected, so we were able to cover THREE units there: Surgical, ICU, and the ER! I purchased the care packages from one of my vendors. My customers were then able to purchase as many care packages as they wanted to. In a little less than a week, my group bought 160 care packages. It was just our little way of saying thank you to all the healthcare workers."
Pruett said she only charges her whole sale price for the care packages (no up charge, no delivery charge) and delivers the individually wrapped packages in bulk to the hospital. She said, "It pays to have amazing wholesale connections."
Recalling her initial post about her idea, Pruett said, "I wasn’t sure about the initial response or interest we would have, but I know I already have people who want to keep donating. Makes me so excited! I would love to donate even more care packages!
The $10 Lavender Care Package set comes with bath tea, hand mixed square bath bomb, bath salt and a rubber duckie. Each product is hand made and packaged in a wooden box with is made with top-of-the-line, pure ingredients for a high-quality aromatherapy experience.
