Seabrook Rotary President Edna Rice notes, “This is the 26th Anniversary of the Men Who Cook event. We are very thankful to our residents and businessmen who serve as our celebrity chefs. We are also very grateful to our many volunteers who work behind the scenes who make this event so successful every year.”
Don’t forget your dancing shoes. Not only will the event include a wonderful variety of food prepared by Bay Area celebrity chefs, this year, the Men Who Cook event will feature the musical talents of Cross Road Refugees. Also, the Seabrook Police Officer of the year will be announced.
Money raised from the Men Who Cook event supports the many activities of the Seabrook Rotary Foundation including educational grants and initiatives, the annual “Clothes for Kids” project, post-disaster relief, and other community and international projects. Mrs. Rice said, “We are looking for sponsors, both individuals and businesses.  There are so many programs that we would like to continue and new ones we envision that could help improve our community.”
Tickets, sponsor information, become a chef, and other details concerning the event are available on the Men Who Cook website, seabrookmenwhocook.org.  Event tickets are $50 per person.  Event tickets should be purchased early since a limited number are available.
The event will feature a reverse drawing for $10,000 in gold or $1,000 in silver. Only 300 reverse draw tickets will be sold for $100 each, and you do not need to be present to win.
