Whether it’s small party (15 or so) to large corporate functions involving hundreds of guests, The SCENE has polled many of the area’s top restaurants and private party venues. Here are some initial questions to help you on your way to being the party (or office) hero! There’s so much to consider. Luna’s Mexican Restaurant & Catering (6555 South Shore Blvd., League City • 281-334-0300): On site: We have one private room at the League City location that can accommodate up to 80 guests. Our private room is perfect for birthdays, rehearsal dinners, showers, corporate meetings or any type of event. We provide full-service, open menu or buffet-style, open bar or cash bar and a HDMI connection to a 55-inch TV. Off Site: We cater all types of cuisines from breakfast, Tex-Mex, BBQ and Italian. We can customize menus to fit every budget from hamburgers and enchiladas to filet mignon and shrimp. Luna’s Catering has catered for 10 people to 1,500 people in and around Houston and surrounding areas. We can provide on-site cooking, lunch boxes, turnarounds, delivery, and buffet style just to name a few services. Railean Distillery & Buccaneer Bar (341 5th Street {off Bayshore Dr.}, San Leon • 713-545-2742): On site: Have your event at a working distillery! Your guests can hang out at the pirate-themed Railean Buccaneer Bar and experience a tour of the distillery, enjoy a sampling of Railean Rum, Vodka, Blue Agave, and Whiskey. We serve 170+ premium cocktails and have friendly and knowledgeable staff. Rent the entire facility, or just the tasting room, which can accommodate up to 25 people. We can host private events at our facility for up to 100 people. Drink packages are also available. Noah’s Ark Restaurant (4438 Boulevard Street, Bacliff • 281-339-2895): On site: Yes, the entire restaurant will hold 200+ people. We have both inside and outside seating areas available for parties. Our Lions Den inside can be closed to the public and will hold up to 35 people. Our new upstairs palapa bar will hold 100+ people and has a large dance floor and stage with a full liquor bar. Why us: We are located on the water with a beautiful view of Galveston Bay and have an extensive menu with reasonable prices. Our chef can customize a menu for your party and the use of our facilities is FREE with the purchase of food or beverages. We offer great food, friendly service and a fun atmosphere. Scotty’s Pub on the Bay (3202 Marina Bay Drive, League City • 281-339-7474): On Site: We are able to accommodate up to 125 people for your holiday party needs. We have a beautiful outdoor patio with a fire and water pit for you partygoers to enjoy. We have drink and food packages available. Why us: Other than the excellent service and comfortable atmosphere, we are able to tailor a party to whatever you like. We don’t make you choose from a pre-fixed menu. If you want it, we will do our best to make it for you. We don’t charge you to have the party here. We only charge for what you and your guests order.
Topwater Grill (815 Ave O, San Leon • 281-339-1232): On site: We can accommodate 75 to 300+ people outside at our Topwater Tiki Bar. Topwater Tiki Bar has a beautiful and unobstructed panoramic view of the sunset over Galveston Bay. Our tiki bar is ideal for large company functions as well as smaller and more intimate personal gatherings. Our private banquet room upstairs will accommodate a minimum of 30 and up to 60 people comfortably. It’s a great room with a nice view of Galveston’s Back Bay. Off-site catering: Yes. We have a mobile kitchen, tables and chairs. We also have a music system. We can serve anywhere from 50 to 500 people. We can make your party and your vision come to life at any budget. Crazy Alan’s Swamp Shack (310 Texas Ave., Kemah • 281-334-5000): On site: We are a full-service restaurant that can handle up to 100 people. Our upstairs is enclosed and air-conditioned, and downstairs has an open patio area. During the crawfish months of February to June, we are limited to service on site. Off-site catering: We can handle ANY SIZE party off site. We have a 30-foot mobile kitchen trailer that can cook up to 10,000 pounds of crawfish an hour. We offer full-service catering from “Boudreaux to Black Tie” with Cajun, seafood, steaks, fajitas, Italian, Mexican, crawfish and Texas home-style cooking. We can provide the food, service, supply the bar and bartenders, stage and dance floor, tents, tables, chairs, band and DJ, and more. You tell us what you need, and we will take care of the rest. Why us: Crazy Alan’s Swamp Shack is a unique venue with great Cajun flavor. We are the crawfish headquarters in Clear Lake. We have cooked 60,000 pounds in three days for an event before. Fuzzy's Taco Shop (2660 Marina Bay Drive, League City • 281-532-6714): Off Site: We love to cater! We know you can't always come see us, so let us bring the Fuzz to you! At Fuzzy’s we offer a wide variety of catering options ranging from boxes of breakfast tacos to serve-yourself taco bars, and manned nacho bars! Just ask for a manager, and we can customize it to make it easy for you! We are the perfect choice for football watch parties, holiday parties, or feeding the team after the little league game!
Main 101 Gill and Bar (101 E. Main St., La Porte, TX • 281-470-8484): On Site: We have an enclosed patio room that can accommodate up to 25 people or we can arrange the dining room for parties up to 75. We specialize in designing menus to suit your needs. We have an extensive bar and wine list. All our steaks and seafood are butchered in-house. We use only USDA Prime Steaks. Off-Site Site: We custom design menu items to fit budgets and excite palates. Why us: Our staff is passionate about your event and making every one of your guests a regular in our restaurant long after your affair is over.
Gio’s Flying Pizza & Pasta (650 FM 517 Road W., Dickinson • 281-337-0107): Off-site catering: Yes, for any function that would require our servers to serve food buffet style. Gio’s has a separate catering menu that’s perfect for large gatherings off-site, such as birthdays, weddings, business functions, church and school events. For those wanting to just pick up large trays of food for an event and feed a minimum of 10 people for not a lot of money, Gio’s Party Tray Menu is perfect for drop off catering. Gio’s will drop off and set up food, but not stay and serve. Also, they are happy to provide everything: plates, cutlery, serving utensils, beverages, ice, cups, and everything else you will need. Gio’s also has a “Pizza Party Menu” and offers deferred pricing on any order of 10 large pizzas or more. They have some great deals! If you can’t pick it up, Gio’s will deliver. Why us: Gio’s is a preferred vendor for Clear Creek ISD, Dickinson ISD, Santa Fe ISD, and Alvin ISD as well as University of Houston-Clear Lake. Co-owner Diana Gunnett handles all full-service catering requests from start to finish and even serves at most of them. She would be happy to quote any event from 10 people to 600 people. Bakkhus Taverna (515 E. 605 6th St., Kemah • 281-538-1800): On site events: Up to 150. Facilities: We do not offer a private room, but can accommodate large groups inside or on our 900+ sq. ft patio. Off site: Yes up to 150, and can also be delivered through the WAITR app. Why us: Authentic Greek-American menu offered with many items you won’t find anywhere else in Houston. We are open for lunch, dinner and late-night seven days a week and have a great staff to serve you.
Jackie’s Brickhouse (1053 Marina Bay Drive, Kemah • 832-864-2459): On site: Yes, we have a private room for 100 people with access to shuffle board, dartboards, pool table and video games. NEW IN NOVEMBER: Check out our upstairs private party room: The Speakeasy with it’s own private bar, restroom, windows and a balcony overlooking downstairs for up to 50 friends. We are ready to book your party now for dates in November and beyond. Why us: Jackie’s Brickhouse provides a diverse venue for any occasion. Our staff has 30-plus years experience in providing unique catering events. We can host wedding receptions for 50 people to poker runs with more than 1000 motorcycles. No event is too small or too large! We can even bring the party to your door. Off-site catering: We can cater off-site for up to 100 guests.
Marais (2015 FM 517 Rd E, Dickinson • 281-534-1986): On site: Marais offers many options for your holiday parties and special events, our Emmite Room holds up to 45 guests for exclusive elegant private dining and our Plank Bar features a pirate themed fun environment that can hold 75 to 100+ guests, garage doors open to the waterfront on the bayou with the Terrace Deck right upstairs and an outdoor restroom. Marais Chefs can tailor any menu to suit your style and budget! Finer dining to casual fun – we have that! Off-site Catering: Marais does limited off-site catering, while our sister restaurant Dickinson BBQ & Steakhouse does extensive off-site catering from 50 to 3500! Why Us: Marais is inspired by 1940s elegant Cajun/ Creole design concepts complete with gas lamps, chandeliers everywhere, marble bars, Benson’s famous swing bar, The Plank (pirate themed sports bar) below and Dickinbach Beergarden all on the water. Las Anitas Mexican Restaurant (4626 NASA Pkwy., Seabrook • 281-326-2200): On Site: We are open Monday through Saturday. On Sundays, Las Anitas is available for private parties for 60 to 80 people. We are taking reservations now for the upcoming holidays. Off Site: We can deliver or you can pick up. We also can handle any quantity, but ask that you call one week in advance if your party is larger than 100. Why us: Las Anitas has been around for 17 years. It is owned and operated by a family who lives in the Seabrook area. Come in and try our delicious food and our margaritas.
Rockey’s Piano Bar (18313 Egret Bay Blvd., Webster • 281-339-7864): On site: We can host up to 100 guests comfortably. You can connect with the caterer of choice to bring food onsite, or we can provide you with options. Why us: We can provide fun, energetic piano sing-a-long for private parties or can take big reservations for a party that you will not want to miss.

We offer cheese and fruit trays for small gatherings. Why us: We provide a unique experience for small groups with private wine and Craft IPA tastings. Boardwalk FantaSea Yacht Charters (#8 Kemah Boardwalk, Kemah • 281-538-9600): With a gorgeous interior, ample dining space and a host of menu options, the Boardwalk FantaSea yacht offers the ideal setting for your holiday event: full-service bar on both levels; accommodates up to 128 guests; dance floor with indoor and outdoor dancing; the Gulf Coast’s largest charter yacht.

Such as a large dining/social area with a 36-foot-by-6-foot video wall, or a smaller version with numerous TVs and a projector with a 120-inch screen. There is also a game room with four pool tables, a foosball table, pinball machines, and vintage video games. We have more than 50 draft /craft beers available through our digital pour system. We have a stage (complete with in-house sound system and lights) for bands, DJs, comedians, acoustic acts – whatever suits your needs. Our kitchen can cater to your specific dining needs or you can simply use our house menu.
The Boldthouse Wine Pub (2234 NASA Parkway, Seabrook • 281-942-9776): On site: We have an events room; and have a personal chef who can help with catering here. Our upstairs room, the Satellite Lounge, can accommodate approximately 75 guests. The events room comes with a built-in stage for musicians or for a DJ to set up and a beautiful bar to host wine and beer. There is a great outdoor view and a small terrace to look out from upstairs. There are two personal bathrooms for guests without having to come downstairs. Our Satellite Lounge can accommodate large company parties to smaller holiday or personal events. The venue is very inviting with an intimate setting. Why us: We’re a unique venue offering options such as buffet-style entrees to meat and cheese gourmet platters.
Mamacita’s Mexican Restaurant (515 E. NASA Pkwy., Webster • 281-332-5362): On-site catering: Yes. We have two rooms at our Webster location – in the enclosed patio and the other in our banquet room (upstairs), where we can accommodate up to 70 guests. Our banquet room is newly renovated, perfect for birthdays, corporate meetings, rehearsals, showers or any type of event. We provide our signature fajita buffet menu option, or if you would like to upgrade to a more formal experience, no problem! Just ask our managers for your ideal meal. Cakes and decorations are accepted at no additional charge, or deposit is $200 and can be utilized with the total bill. Our patio area is also set up buffet or parrillada style. We can create it just as personal as the banquet room. Off-site catering: We do cater off-site and deliver. We can handle any quantity, but ask that you call one week in advance if your party is larger than 100. Mediterraneo Market & Café (18033 Upper Bay Road, Nassau Bay • 281-333-3180): On-site: Yes, up to 60. We have plenty of room for private parties, but there is no private area. Off-site catering: Yes, up to 200. Why us: Because of the uniqueness of our food and flavor! Celebrities such as The Who, Paul McCartney, Cher and Jessica Simpson have chosen us for catering over the years and you should, too! • We now have a second location Mediterraneo Café and Pizza (2409 Falcon Pass Drive, Houston • 281-984-7953). In addition to offering the same off-site catering options as our original location, the Falcon Pass location also offers pizza and the ability to order online and pick up at our Falcon Pass location using Eat24/Grubhub ( www.mediterraneomarket.com ) or get us delivered through Doordash.

Vino e Formaggio Café (20801 Gulf Freeway #25, Webster • 832-632-1249): On site: We are able to host up to 45 guests for your gathering. Private event space rentals are currently available for Saturday afternoon, all day Sunday, and Monday. Our space is ideal for showers or birthdays, holiday parties and intimate gatherings. Weekdays during regular business hours, small groups can be hosted for no fee as we are open anyway. Why us: We are a warm and welcoming space with drapes on the windows, no televisions, and no indoor advertising. We are conveniently located on Interstate 45, just south of NASA Rd. 1. We offer more than 60 excellent wines, ala carte cheeses, and several beer offerings. Guests are welcome to work with a caterer or a food truck that will have easy access to the kitchen through the back door. We can set up an area for chaffing dishes, plates, etc.
Bayshore Grill & Billiards (137 21st Street, San Leon • 281-339-0197): On site: We have separate rooms that can accommodate up to 50 people in our Game Room or Sunroom. The Game Room has banquet tables, two billiard tables, shuffleboard and TVs. The Sunroom is ideal for a more intimate dining experience. Both rooms are great settings for birthday parties, showers, corporate meetings, family gatherings, and other events. Our billiards hall is great for happy hour gatherings. Off-site: We offer a selection of Family Packs available for pick-up. Order 24-hours in advance. For catering service, please contact us at least one week in advance. Why Us: We are a full-service restaurant and upscale pool hall. We offer our full menu or customize one to meet your event budget. Enjoy a game of pool and a view of the bay at our upstairs patio.
