eVolve Restaurant: An eVolutionary Dining Experience That Is All About The Food

Jan 06, 2016 10:00AM ● By SCENE MAGAZINE STAFF
The concept is simple. eVolve Restaurant, located at 2234 NASA Parkway in Seabrook, is an eVolutionary food-driven dining experience set amidst a beautiful venue that reveals an interior with a minimalist and modern design. One may expect a certain degree of stuffiness that is found at a high-end restaurant, but don’t judge this book by its cover. Since opening in September, eVolve Restaurant has presented fine dining in a laid back, casual atmosphere to a welcoming community.

Owner and Executive Chef Adam Scott – an American Culinary Federation certified chef with extensive experience – opted to minimize the dining room’s ambiance thereby allowing guests to focus on the food, service, and overall experience that is the essence of eVolve Restaurant. One may describe this setting as having the flexibility to more simply be called “comfortable fine dining.” This means guests are welcomed from everything to dining with friends outside on the patio (as weather permits) to celebrating a special occasion (big or small). “Or just because it is Wednesday,” said Chef Scott. “Of course, Burger Night on Thursdays is very popular.”

Chef Scott has successfully broken down all pretenses from the label of “fine dining” without removing the quality, freshness, and artful presentation of only the best ingredients available for his menu. His kitchen is a direct reflection on his unwavering commitment to quality and freshness. “Other than our made-from-scratch ice creams, I don’t have a frozen product in the building."

While the dinner menu eVolves almost weekly based on what the boutique meat markets, farmers, and fresh fish mongers have available, eVolve Restaurant’s lunch and brunch menus are consistent. Chef Scott has described his cooking style as “modern American with worldwide influences.”  Be sure to taste the "Texas Pecan-tella" crepes with vanilla berries at the Sunday brunch or the blackened snapper or house Reuben sandwiches at lunch.

With so much of their products coming from local sources, eVolve Restaurant truly extends beyond their four walls. The restaurant partners with the community as well, and Chef Scott has developed very strong relationships with his neighbors. “The one thing about the Bay Area is that we look after our own,” he said.

Chef Scott is a supporter of numerous charitable organizations and has prepared food to raise money for cancer research, women and children’s shelters, and animal adoptions. Most recently, eVolve Restaurant sponsored a toy drive alongside Toys For Tots at the restaurant. Looking ahead in 2016, his non-profit eVolve Foundation is in the process of exploring local charities to partner with to educate others about nutrition and diet, better managing food wastes, and living a healthier life by choosing good food over fast food. eVolve Restaurant started as a dream. Good food has always been a part of Chef Scott's life. When asked his thoughts on cooking for the public he replies simply, "Start with great quality, and don't mess it up."

Just as important as the quality of food, is the friendly and extremely knowledgeable service staff. Purposefully dressed in logo t-shirts and jeans and a big smile, they consider their guests as extended family members and are genuinely happy to make your experience a memorable one.
