Featuring Air Force Thunderbirds & Breitling Jet Team

The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and the Breitling Jet Team headline this year’s Commemorative Air Force (CAF) 31st Annual Wings Over Houston Airshow, which will be held Saturday and Sunday, October 17 and 18, at Ellington Airport.

“We’re very excited to have two world-class jet team performances by the Thunderbirds and Breitling Jet Team this year, and pre-show ticket sales have been fantastic,” said Airshow Director Bill Roach. “We have an exciting lineup of aviation performances, including civilian acrobatic pilots and vintage aircraft reenactments and flight formations, as well as numerous exhibits and activities. Now in our 31st year, we are proud to be a Houston family tradition.”

The Thunderbirds, performing as a team of six F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft, return to Houston following their last Wings Over Houston performance in 2010. The Breitling Jet Team from Europe, the world’s largest professional civilian flight team that performs in seven L-39C Albatros jet aircraft, will end their first U.S. tour with this first-time performance at Wings Over Houston.

The show’s lineup, in addition to the Thunderbirds and Breitling performances, includes: • VFA-122 Super Hornet Demonstration Team • Civilian acrobatic performances by Debbie Rihn-Harvey, Kevin Coleman and David Martin • Air Force Heritage Flight Foundation flights • CAF Tora! Tora! Tora reenactment of the attack on Pearl Harbor • U.S. Coast Guard Helicopter Dolphin MH65D • A large number of vintage military aircraft, flying in formations and reenactments, flown by crews from various units of the Commemorative Air

Force, Texas Flying Legends Museum, Lone Star Flight Museum, Vietnam War Flight Museum, Lewis Collection,  Cavanaugh Flight Museum and Collings Foundation.
