Sep 14, 2015 12:23PM ● By SCENE MAGAZINE STAFF

October 9, 10 & 11 • City Parking Lot

The third annual Oktoberfest in Kemah is bringing in hand-crafted beers from all over the world! There will be a 9,000-square-foot beer tent for all to enjoy. The highly anticipated Oktoberfest in Kemah has become a huge, much-anticipated event and will be held on Saturday, October 4 from noon to 11 p.m., and Sunday, October 5 from noon to 6 p.m.

Oktoberfest in Kemah will be held in the heart of Kemah at the City Parking Lot at 604 Bradford Street, adjacent to the Kemah Boardwalk and inside the Lighthouse District.

Traditionally, the world famous Oktoberfest is held annually in Munich, Bavaria (Germany), running from late September to the first weekend in October. It's one of Germany’s most famous cultural events to enjoy beer, traditional polka music and German food such as sausage, kraut, and pretzels to name a few tempting tastes. But there is no reason to plan a trip to Germany for the official Oktoberfest, since Gulf Coast Festivals plans to bring Germany to you, right here in Kemah. Send your taste buds on a memorable adventure to Europe and experience the best handcrafted “Old World” beers available, including those from Germany, Holland, Austria and many more.

Live Music Lineup:

EDDY RAVEN (The Hitmaker): Born Edward Garvin Futch, it's no wonder that his name was changed by a record executive to Eddy Raven on his very first single, released on tiny Cosmos Records in the late '60s. Raven has charted more than thirty-five singles in his career, including the Number One hits "I Got Mexico," "Shine, Shine, Shine," "I'm Gonna Get You," "Joe Knows How to Live," "In a Letter to You" and "Bayou Boys," as well as several more Top Ten hits, including seventeen consecutive Top Tens between 1984 and 1990. Numerous influences have made his music almost indescribable: the Cajun sounds of his native Louisiana, the blues influence from working with Johnny Winter, the rock & roll of his idol (Elvis Presley), and the pure country of the Grand Ole Opry.  Raven will take the stage on Saturday, October 10 (7 to 10pm) Performing at 2015 Kemah Oktoberfest on Friday, October 9, is Das Ist Lustig (3-6:30pm) and Jarrod Sterrett (7-10pm). On Saturday, October 10, Enzian Buam (Noon-3pm) and Breelan Angel (3:30-6:30pm) will take the stage before headliner Eddy Raven (7-10pm). Das Ist Lustig (Noon-5:30pm) will preform on Sunday, October 11.
