New Restaurant Report

Upon entering La Poz Café, you will notice a European feel. The décor offers deep vibrant-hued walls adorned with local artworks. The aroma of coffee and fresh crepes greets patrons early in the morning as the mouthwatering signature food is made fresh every day.

La Poz Café, located at 4622 Nasa Parkway, Seabrook (next to Arlan’s), is a place for the entire family to enjoy coffee, tea, crepes or sandwiches. The French bistro offers a relaxed atmosphere to conduct business, relax on a date, or to spend time reading your favorite book. And speaking of business, those who aspire to be the most-liked at the office, could get a head start in obtaining that title by picking up some of La Poz’s handmade fruit tarts or croissants for the office.

In addition to the mouthwatering crepes, La Poz serves quiche, salads, Panini, and savory lunch specials. Their menu features unique items such as the “Les Gauffres Waffle” (bananas, Nutella, raspberries, strawberries and whipped cream, Maple syrup any ice cream flavor, a sugar crepe and whipped cream); the “Au Sauman” Panini (made with tomatoes, smoked salmon, Dijon mustard, Swiss cheese, lemon juice); and the “Le Parisien” sandwich  (butter, ham, Swiss cheese).

The full lunch specials include soup, the special of the day, and dessert; such as a steaming cup of authentic French onion soup, followed by Morrocan couscous, marinated lamb, chicken, and vegetables served with a side of chickpeas and raisins. Then enjoy a fruity, home-made raspberry mousse for dessert.

At La Poz, you can “Bring Your Own Wine” and further personalize your dining experience.

It is patio season now. What a great opportunity to take time and delight in live music and the local artist parties at La Poz once a month. Summer promotions include a discount on the kids menu as well as crepes for kids!

Make plans now for the special man in the family since Father’s Day is Sunday, June 21. La Poz will offer a three-course meal with three choices to pick from in each course.

As of press time, La Poz is open for breakfast and lunch from 6:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday; and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Beginning the second week of June, the bistro will offer a dinner menu. Check their Facebook page for more information.

La Poz can host graduation parties, and has private rooms on-site. Off-site catering is also available.

Visit www.LaPozCafe.com to make online reservations, or to review the menu before you go. Welcome La Poz Café, and tell them that you saw them in The SCENE!
