What You Need To Know About Right Now: 2015 Houston Beer Festival Music Line-Up

Jun 01, 2015 02:01PM ● By Corinne Moore
The 5th annual Houston Beer Festival is set to rock Hermann Square and Tranquility Park on Saturday, June 13 and Sunday, June 14.

The event has “beer” in its name, but some people might even call this “a music festival with a large variety of beers” due to the array of DJ and live musical entertainment taking place on three stages across festival grounds beginning at noon each day. Music from genres such as, alternative rock, blues, jazz, funk, ska, salsa, country, hip-hop, rock and roll, and pop will be heard across the Bud Light Main Stage, 8th Wonder Stage, ZiegenBock Stage (Tranquility Park), and the Love Street DJ Mix & Chill Zone (Lower Tranquility Park) area.

Some of the bands performing at the 2015 Houston Beer Fest include: MUTEMATH is a Grammy-nominated American alternative rock band from New Orleans. Their sound melds hip-hop styled beats, moments of beauty and grandeur, big hooks, and vocals that

pay homage to classic rock.USA Today just recently said MUTEMATH was “one of the top ten musical acts to perform in the history of the David Letterman show.”

Houston natives Chamillionaire (Grammy award-winning and platinum recording artist put Southern rap style on the national map with the hit single “Ridin’ Dirty”); Scarface (member of the Geto Boys); and Riff Raff (his major label debut studio album “Neon Icon” was released in 2014) will bring their energy to the masses with their lively stage personas.

Other bands (but certainly not all) on the line-up are Potbelly, Wheel Workers, Free Radicals & Havikoro, Electric Attitude, Quiet Company, Blue Monkey Light Show, Espantapajaros, Hayes Carll, Craig Kinsey & the SideshowTramps, and many more.

Check out the full schedule or order your tickets online at houstonbeerfestival.com, and choose from a one-day general admission with beer ticket ($35); a single day music only ticket with no beer ($20); or daily VIP tickets.
