Jackie’s Brickhouse gives back to the community

Dec 03, 2014 09:39PM ● By SCENE MAGAZINE STAFF
Please join Jackie’s Brickhouse to support this wonderful community we live, work and play in. The venue needs your support as we close out 2014, and ring in 2015.

During the holiday months, the need for emergency assistance to families tends to increase. Jackie’s Brickhouse and South Coast Jeeps have teamed up to help collect as many NON-PERISHABLE items as possible to benefit the Galveston County Food Bank. Let’s fight hunger together. On Thursday, December 11 from 6 a.m. until midnight, a drive-through drop-off will be available at Jackie’s Brickhouse, located at 1053 Marina Bay Drive (FM 2094) in Kemah.

Donations are being accepted now as well. “We have five boxes. We know, that with the community's help, we can fill them all,” said John Barrera, General Manager at Jackie’s Brickhouse.

Saturday, January 31, at noon, please join Jackie’s Brickhouse for their first benefit of 2015. This huge event is for injured biker Todd Flinders. Friendswood residents Flinders and his wife Tammy Guzman were involved in a motorcycle accident last month (November 9) at the Lone Star Rally in Galveston. He sustained a traumatic brain injury that left him in a coma.

The “Flinders Fight Benefit” hopes to make a long and hard road to recovery less stressful. Visit the Facebook pages for Jackie’s Brickhouse and Flinders Fight Benefit for more information.

“We do not and will not forget where we came from, or the people who helped us get here,” said Barrera on why it is so important for Jackie’s Brickhouse to give back to the community.

The venue also supports its employees, and will be closing at 7 p.m. on Monday, December 15 for a “staff and their families” Christmas party.

And if you need a last minute Christmas gift, Jackie’s Brickhouse has you covered. Purchase $50 worth of gift cards, and receive a complimentary $10 gift card.

Jackie’s Brickhouse is the place to be! Tickets are on sale now for their New Year’s Eve party with the Mambo Jazz Kings performing. In the meantime, they are now serving brunch on Sundays from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. featuring bottomless Mimosas. Jackie Brickhouse’s opens daily at 11 a.m. to serve mouthwatering lunches. On Tuesdays nights from 5 to 10 p.m. enjoy their new “2 for $20” promotion that includes an appetizer and two entrees.

There is always something going on because the party never ends! Check out their ad monthly to see what's next.
