The days seem to rush by faster toward the end of the year. Don’t let it fly by without making some memories. Mark your calendars now for “Lunch with Santa” on December 13, 14, 20, and 21 at Quaker Steak & Lube, located at 2502 Gulf Freeway in League (at Victory Lakes). Santa is taking a time-out from perusing the Naughty and Nice List to come hangout at Quaker Steak from 2 to 5 p.m.

December 13 also marks the start of the “12 Days of Christmas,” in which proceeds go to a different charity each day. The kick-off party for this event begins at 11 a.m.

Since opening in June, Quaker Steak & Lube has been the place for anyone looking for hot wings, great food, and lots of fun with friends and family. This “filling station” is known for its fun decor that pays tribute to old-school gas stations. The concept actually began in 1974 as a way to preserve the culture of those old gas stations in conjunction with the pastime of high-powered muscle cars. Even today, “The Lube” is still rescuing muscle cars, vintage cars, trucks, and a vast selection of custom and antique motorcycles, giving them good homes hanging from the walls and ceilings, and displayed overhead on hydraulic grease racks in each restaurant.
