Traditionally, the world famous Oktoberfest is held annually in Munich, Bavaria (Germany), running from late September to the first weekend in October. It's one of Germany’s most famous cultural events to enjoy beer, traditional polka music and German food such as sausage, kraut, and pretzels to name a few tempting tastes.

But there is no reason to plan a trip to Germany for the official Oktoberfest, since Gulf Coast Festivals plans to bring Germany to you, right here in Kemah. Send your taste buds on a memorable adventure to Europe and experience the best handcrafted “Old World” beers available, including those from Germany, Holland, Austria and many more.

Live music will be provided by… Enzian Buam – This local three-piece band performs the sounds and styles typically heard in the Alpine regions of Europe and produce amazing and super fast Austrian yodels. Jarrod Sterrett and The Hired Guns are known for being able to play songs that get the crowd on their feet and singing at the top of their lungs. Then, this band from Huntsville will take the same crowd down to a slow dancing mood with a love ballad.

Breelan Angel is a singer/songwriter from Baytown who is a regular in Nashville where she writes with many A-list luminaries. Her music is original and fresh with just the right blend of southern charm and modern country rock that’s packed with catchy hooks and well-crafted storylines.

The Hubenak County Band loves to play music that is enjoyed throughout Texas, including a nice variety of traditional country, new country, favorite oldies, classic rock and more.

Rat Ranch is a full on party/rock band that entertain thousands of people every week in clubs across Texas. Their live show has a rock concert atmosphere with state-of-the-art sound and lights as well as four great performers putting their hearts into what they do. Classic rock favorites, modern country, current radio hits and everything in between are presented with maximum impact.

Save the date, and head out to the Kemah Oktoberfest and enjoy a festival the way the Germans would appreciate it with tasty food, tons of fun and terrific beer! Purchase tickets at the event or online at www.gulfcoastfestivals.com. Entry is $10 on Saturday and $5 on Sunday with kids 12 and under free.
