For the past 15 years, party animals, families, bikers, singles, couples, the young, and the young at heart have flocked to this bay front restaurant. Noah’s Ark Bar & Grill boasts having "the best crew and view on the Galveston Bay!" Everyone is welcome to 4438 Boulevard in Bacliff seven days a week.

Head over to celebrate the grand opening of Noah’s Ark’s upstairs palapa bar, The Parrots Nest. The newest addition is for the 21-and-over crowd and features an amazing view of Galveston Bay plus a beautiful hand-painted mural created by a local artist Gary Holman. The upstairs is trimmed with bamboo for an island feel. Patrons will be treated to live entertainment on the weekends. This unique space is comprised of a 14x14 square-foot stage, a 16x12 square-foot real wood dance floor, seating for approximately 80 and a full-service bar. The space is available for weddings, receptions, office parties, reunions or any type of event.

“We wanted The Parrots Nest to be used year round, no matter the weather,” said Dawn Radford, assistant general manager at Noah’s Ark. “Our new rooftop bar is cool in the summer, dry in the rain, and a little warmer in the winter.”

Hosting an event at Noah’s Ark is a snap. They have full-service in-house catering and can handle the details. There is no charge for the use of The Parrots Nest or the Lion’s Den party room (seats up to 40 people and is located downstairs within the restaurant) with the purchase of food and beverages. Call 281-339-2895 to reserve the Lion’s Den or an event under the impressive upstairs palapa.

Noah’s Ark has also expanded their wine list. “Our new wines include Cavit Moscato, Mark West Pinot Noir, Thorny Rose Red Blend, Sauvignon Blanc, Red Guitar Sangria, and Estancia Unoaked Chardonnay,” said Radford. “The unoaked wine is the new thing and has a very different taste than regular chardonnay.” Their full-service bar now also serves Blue Moon on draft complete with an orange slice. Two signature drinks to partake in are the Oyster Shooter (oyster with vodka, Bloody Mary mix, Tabasco and is served in a shot glass) and the Coronita Rita (a margarita infused with an upside down 7-ounce Corona beer).

The restaurant serves up tasty signature items that are sure to please.  To complement your cold drink, order a “Hot” appetizer of Chicks (chicken), Mermaids (shrimp), or Cats (catfish).  The “Angels on Horseback” (oysters) are a customer favorite – All creative names for delicious dishes that come wrapped in bacon and jalapeño peppers, dipped in beer batter and deep fried.

In addition to po-boys, wraps, subs, and baskets, the kitchen offers a popular fried meatloaf sandwich and hearty Angus beef, flame-broiled hamburgers. The “Noah” (a third- or half-pound patty, two pieces of bacon, two pieces of Swiss cheese, sautéed onions, and grilled jalapeños on the side) and the “Hawg” (a one-pound patty with two slices of bacon, Swiss and American cheese) burgers both are customer favorites.

The tempting daily specials that rotate throughout the week include BBQ Brisket all day Monday “until it’s gone;” on Tuesdays, it's pork roast dinner, plus, kids 8 years and younger eat free from the kid’s menu; All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti or chili spaghetti for $6.95 and kids 8 years old and under eat free spaghetti on Wednesdays; Beef Pot Roast all day “until it’s gone” on Thursdays; and shrimp dinners are $12.95 all day on Friday. Saturdays, the breakfast menu is available from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.; Sundays, patrons have the option of selecting from the breakfast menu from 8 a.m. to noon or partaking in the breakfast buffet, available until 1p.m.

Owners Fred and Beverly Lyttle have 30 years experience in the restaurant industry. When not at Noah’s Ark, the Lyttles lend their support to non-profit organizations throughout the year including the Houston SPCA Animal Adoption Center.

If you are looking for somewhere casual and friendly, then look no further. The bay breeze will wash your cares away. Enjoy live music during the Parrot Head party from 7 to 10 p.m. on Fridays and live entertainment on Saturdays. If you like indoor games, join in one of the many Texas Hold ‘em poker games that are held throughout the week. Visit www.noahsarkbarandgrill.com for more information.
