Newly opened Bubba's Shrimp Palace overhauls previous lazy seafood concept Judge's in San Leon.

Looks can be deceiving -- other than the sign out front, you'd think you were at Judge's. But the biggest change is the food.

We tried the gumbo -- something Judge's had down pat. And Bubba's trumped it. Additionally, the oyster po-boy was fred crispy and tasted fresh.

The Bayside ambiance still exists, complete with the colorful vibrancy of the restaurant. But frankly, the food much better and I'm excited to come here and try it all again!! Kudos!!
