Calling all super heroes, rock stars, movie characters, witches, mummies and bloodied zombies… Your night is just around the corner. That’s right, if you don’t have your costume ready, what are you waiting for? Here are listings of local hangouts with more treats than tricks ready to celebrate the kid in you in full Halloween style.

Bucks Bar: “We love holidays, probably Halloween the most. Our 10,000 sq ft venue is turned into a Haunted Bar! We decorate early so clients can rent out the space for private Halloween parties throughout the month. Boca Tanning will team up with us for Halloween. Weekend of Oct. 23 is our True Blood Party (dress normal or in costume). Fangs suggested. Saturday, Oct. 30 is our Halloween Costume Contest. Cash and prizes worth $2500+. Pier 27 Tavern: ”Welcome to me Pirate Pub! Food and drinks galore; stack the pistols, swords and weapons by the door.” Pier 27’s Pirate’s Ball and Costume contest is on Sunday, Oct. 31 from 7pm to 1am. $5 cover (PIPs are free). Select “orangey” drinks will be on special all night long. After Party will provide live music. Prizes for best and worst costume and many more, including a spectacular grand prize!

Bakkhus Taverna: On Sunday, Oct. 31 8 pm-2am, join "The Most Interesting Party in the World.” Costume contest will be held at midnight during the full moon. The top three "Most Interesting Costumes in the World" WIN!!  Prizes will be posted on Facebook closer to Halloween.$2 Dos XX, liquor promotions, freebies and giveaways. custom shot block and D.J Bill Byous. Never a cover.

Signature Bistro: Bistro Bash on Saturday, Oct. 30 9 pm to 2 am features a live DJ, a dance floor, prizes and drink specials. No cover. Prizes for scariest, funniest, best couple and overall best costume. Special Halloween Martinis ($5 after 9pm). Customers who come in costume, receive first drink on us (up to $10).

Zone 504: Annual Halloween Bash is on Saturday, Oct. 30 at 8 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to best costumes. Drink specials all night and live entertainment by Bodacious Ta-tas. Come dressed to the nines! Never a cover.

Katie’s: Katie’s Annual Halloween Party and Costume Contest is on Saturday, Oct. 30. Enjoy live music with Scott McGill and Old Dog Mack, prizes for best costume and drink specials all night. Never a cover.

FantaSea Yacht Charters: Halloween Monsters Ball Cruise will be on Sunday, Oct. 31. Boarding at 6 pm. Cruising from 6:30 to 9 pm. Tickets: $69.95 per adult, $39.95 per child. Call 281-538-9600 for reservations or visit TheBigWhiteBoat.com.

Jackie’s Brickhouse: Costume party on Saturday, Oct. 30. Prizes for best female, male and overall. No Cover. Live music by Mambo Jazz Kings.

Cock-eyed Seagull: Costume Contests on Sunday, Oct. 31 starts at 11 p.m.

La Brisa - Bacliff: Costumes welcome! Candy for the kids. Vote for best dressed employee on Saturday, Oct. 30. Live music by Earnie Trevino Band.

D’Vine Wine - Galveston: Costume Party on Saturday, Oct. 30 from 6 to 10 pm

Twin Peaks: Get your fill of eye candy at Twin Peaks: Halloween Dress Up Oct. 22-31. Costume contest Saturday, Oct. 30.

Scout Bar: Saturday, Oct. 30: Powerman 5000 with special guests Elysian, 20/20 and Forever Falls. All ages show. $15 advance tickets, $18 day of. Doors open at 7 pm Show starts at 8 pm. On Sunday, Oct 31: The Texas Buzz featuring Erase the Virus with Born from Ruins and Dykes on Bykes. Costume Contest starts at 11:40 pm Cash and prizes. No cover for 21+ ($9.45 for 18 and up).

Sherlock’s: Saturday, Oct. 30 will be the big costume contest and Sunday, Oct. 31 is Hospitality Night with a costume contest as well as live music.

Doc’s Upper Deck: 2nd Annual Heaven and Hell Halloween Party and Costume Contest both nights: Saturday, Oct. 30 and Sunday, Oct. 31.

T-Bone Tom’s: Costume contest on Sunday, Oct. 31. Prizes for best dressed.

Merlion: Halloween Bash Oct. 29-31. Goulish Thai Dinner (4 course menu). Dessert includes Deadly Candy Apple. $30 per person. Come dressed as a Flapper and receive $5 off. Drink specials after 5 pm Oct. 29-31. “Always a great time.”

Hugh & Jeff’s: Saturday, Oct. 30 Costume Contest. $1000 in cash and prizes.

Club Pure: Saturday, Oct. 30: Halloween Horror – Dress as your favorite dead celebrity. Win a cruise to Cancun for two.

Dempsey’s: Liquor Treat on Saturday, Oct. 30 starting at 8 p.m. $10 cover. The scariest bar-sponsored haunted house in Clear Lake. $1 off all drinks (if in costume) – excluding specials. Bobbing for Vodka soaked apples. Prizes for best couple, sexiest, scariest, funniest. $50 for 1st place in all categories. Live music by Obsolete August and Still Standing.
